Sudbury is proud to welcome you to what we believe is one of the greatest cities in our nation.  We know you will feel right at home and we will work to make sure you do.

We invite you to explore what Sudbury has to offer to newcomers and some of our amazing local businesses and tourism destinations.

The Sudbury Local Immigration Partnership (SLIP) focuses on the development of different initiatives to ensure that Greater Sudbury continues to be a welcoming community for newcomers of all walks of life.

Join Our Focus Groups – Share Your Experience as a Newcomer

The SLIP invites you to participate in a virtual focus group to share your experiences as a newcomer living, working, or studying in Greater Sudbury. Your voice matters and will help shape future programs and services that better support newcomers in our community.

You’re welcome to join any of the three sessions that best fit your schedule. While one session will be delivered entirely in French, participants are welcome to speak in either English or French during any of the sessions.

Dates:

Location: Online (via Zoom)

Your participation will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made to better support newcomers like you.

Please RSVP by registering using the links above. You’ll receive all session details by email.

Why Immigration Matters

Immigration plays an important role in the economic growth and cultural diversity of our community.

It’s vital to hear the stories of individuals choosing to live and work in Greater Sudbury. Greater Together was launched by the Local Immigration Partnership in collaboration with the City of Greater Sudbury telling immigration stories that celebrate Greater Sudbury’s cultural diversity.

Our Immigration Matters infographic demonstrates the value of immigration to help create a vibrant and strong community.
