Established in 2005, the City of Greater Sudbury’s Arts & Culture Grant Program supports the growth and sustainability of the local arts and culture sector. The program helps attract and retain creative talent, strengthens community identity, and enhances quality of life for all residents.
Administered by the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC), the program has invested over $10 million in support of hundreds of local arts and cultural initiatives. This investment has contributed to the employment of artists, the presentation of hundreds of festivals and events, and an estimated $9.41 return for every $1 spent.
Program Overview Greater Sudbury Arts & Culture Grant Program
The program includes two funding streams:
- Operating Stream – supports established organizations with ongoing programs and operations.
- Project Stream – supports specific projects, events, or initiatives that contribute to community cultural development.
CADAC Reporting Greater Sudbury Arts & Culture Grant Program
The Canadian Arts Data (CADAC) online system is used for annual data reporting. Organizations will be redirected to the CADAC system to complete reporting requirements.
Jury Recruitment Greater Sudbury Arts & Culture Grant Program
Community members with experience or interest in the arts are invited to apply to serve on Arts and Culture Grant juries.
Submit a letter outlining your interest, résumé, and any local arts affiliations to [email protected]. Nominations are accepted year-round and reviewed annually by the GSDC Board.
